This is a presentation which i did about codes and conventions of a documentary and the news, hopefully it will give you a better understanding of the different codes and conventions of the news.
On this slide i discussed the codes and conventions of the news at 10, i had to watch a clip off BBC iplayer and i explained a presenter within the news and graphics within the news.
I then discussed more codes and conventions of the news at 10. I discussed what a field reporter is and what their job is within the news at 10, and i also discussed a voice over and what its job is within the news.
I then discussed the BBC3 60 second news, i did this to show the differences in the two different types of news, i discussed a voice over, observational footage, and interviews.
After focusing on the news i then discussed a documentary called 'Johns not mad' i discussed this to also show the differences in the codes and conventions of a documentary and the news, i discussed interviews and observational footage.
I then discussed the follow up documentary to 'Johns not mad' it had a few changes within this documentary, i discussed a voice over and observational footage.
I then discussed a documentary called 'Live forever'. i did this type of documentary because it was relates to the documentary that i will be producing which is based on 'manchester music'.
I then discussed the differences in the two different news shows that i analysed, i did this to show people all codes and conventions are used differently in different shows.
I then discussed the differences within the two documentaries that i analysed, also to show that the codes and conventions that have been used aren't the same in both documentaries.
